Hey There Junebug!

Featuring Craftiness Is NOT Optional's Junebug dress pattern:

As you can see above I made a slight change to the original by doing rounded corners and piping! I LOVE the POP the piping gives!

I made the tunic and sleeveless options so it would be perfect for fall layering.

My daughter thought the neighbours driveway post would be a perfect microphone to sing her ABC's into!

Now before I continue here are the details of the sewfab sale - it ENDS on the 8th at 8am EST by the way - so not much more time to debate over it if you have been trying to make up your mind :)

Now that you have seen the details let's carry on ! The back of the dress is simple as the on and off closures are the front of the dress.

I made mine out of a light chambray I picked up on sale (shocker I know - but really who can turn down chambray for under $4/yd??!!)

I lined the dress in a little chevron I got in a scrap pack - and I have leftover! The pattern calls for buttons but I used snaps! It was my very first time using my snap pliers and I don't know what I was so afraid of, they were so easy! I was going to do black snaps but my daughter insisted on the bright pink ones. In the end i think she made a good choice, I like the pink with the green.

This pattern went together so well and was a fairly quick sew ! It would have sewn faster if I had decided to stay with the pattern and not do the piping. However, i find sometimes simple little changes can give such a fun and unique look to an outfit.

ps. please tell me that one snap that is a bit off isn't THAT bad! It is driving me crazy - but I am scared to try and pry it off... Do I dare? Is there an easy way?

And this is just one of the super cute patterns in the sewfab bundle! Also don't forget to follow us on Facebook and in our Lab Group to keep up to date and chat with us! We love our fans and love connecting with you all !

The last sewfab sewing look will be on the blog here bright and early tomorrow! Stay tuned!

The link to buy the SewFab bundle (26 patterns from 26 designers for $29.95) is at the bottom of the post!

Yesterday on my SewFab sewing post I showed you the comfy cozy Bimaa hoodie i made, Today I am showing off the harem pants I made, pattern by Too Sweets. I of course felt that harem pants are the perfect thing for a flexible just turned one and learning to walk type kid to have :)

To make these pants I changed the pattern a bit by doing one side on fabric and the other a different fabric. Two-Face pants! As you can see, instead of cutting on the fold I just cut, and gave a little seam allowance to stitch it to the other side.

I just love how these pants look on the little baby bum!

This picture makes me laugh so much! she was stuck for a few minutes trying to decide what to do. She isn't walking yet, and going hands free scares her IF she realizes she is hands free haha.

and aren't they adorable tucked into little fringe booties!

The SewFab bundle is such a great bargain! My upcycling, sale loving, self approves of this deal!

As per the usual - the SewFab sale buy it button and info on the patterns all in the bundle are at the bottom of the post :)

Next up on the what I sewed from SewFab series is the Bimaa Sweater by LouBee Clothing ! This sweater has several options for the neckline, I chose the hoodie ! It gets pretty chilly where i live, and prety quickly too, so I wanted comfy cozy for my youngest!

The main fabric is cozy fleece I got on a great sale (noticing a trend?) It was actually a fleece blanket I picked up brand new from the grocery superstore for $2! The hood lining is a cut up bit of leftover knit receiving blanket.  (The rest of the receiving blanket went into pants - that post tomorrow!)

Today's pictures aren't the greatest (thank-you rainy weather for the past 3 days...)

This hoodie is soooo cozy and I LOVE the neckline of it and how it attaches!

and a little sneak peak of the pants I made to match that you get to see tomorrow! Can you guess which SewFab pattern they are?

If you have made it this far into the week without buying the sewfab bundle I admire your willpower, but you really should just buy the bundle! It is the most amazing deal I have ever seen on a group of patterns!

Sally oh Sally! and a Cardi to Match!

This post contains affiliate links. when you purchase the SewFab bundle through these links I earn a percentage of that sale. thank you so much for supporting the SewFab sale!

The link to buy the SewFab bundle is at the bottom of the post - along with a collage of all the patterns in it! Seriously awesome value - 26 patterns from 26 designers (including us) for only $29.95!

Now I know we are at mid week already, but I'll be honest with you all. When I got the bundle - THIS was the first pattern/s I made from it!

So without further ado, The Sally dress by Luvinthemommyhood and the Greenpoint Cardigan by Hey June. Both these lovely patterns are in the SewFab bundle - link at the bottom of the post.

I made this one with a gorgeous lawn I bought for a great price on fabric.com. My plan was to use it to make "wearable muslins" for myself... but the fabric told me it wanted to be a Sally dress :)

I did the elbow sleeve version of the dress. This dress also has short sleeves option and a sleeveless option as well.

The pockets are perfect for embroidering on!  And my girl loves collecting "treasures" on our walks in these oversized pockets!

are you sold yet? You can skip ahead to the bottom of the post for the link to buy the bundle :) ... but you would be missing out on some super cute pictures!

With no buttons, zips, or closure the dress is easy on and off so it is perfect for the independent toddler!

My girl was on on the edge of one size so I made a size up to have it fit longer. Kids just grow so fast!

Because I love this pattern so much I had to make another! (This colourful version of the Sally got sent to a friend for a sewing exchange we did)

A close up of the lovely pockets!

and one more shot of the Sally styled for the fall under the greenpoint cardigan.

And now as promised here are the details on the sale and our big ol' buy the bundle button :)
