Today I want to share with you the foldover clutch I made with the LBG Studio's pattern

I really love the leather accents pieces this pattern has, I chose the side rounds as I didn't want to cover toooooo much of this pretty fabric (all the way from Uganda by the way!).  This pattern also has measures to make a small pouch. I choose the full size foldover clutch option.

The pattern features wonderfully written directions, a very clear supply list - including ideal zipper type and length.  I chose the shorter zipper length and the side tabs and the recommended brass zipper - it really does give it the look I wanted! Since the outside fabric is rather subtle in colour I did a pop of colour on the lining fabric!

I also love that there is an interlining so you get that extra bit of stability and also a bit of extra protection for whatever you decide to put inside the clutch. Which is GREAT when you finish sewing this pattern up and realize it is the PERFECT size for your tablet!!!!

Yes I can now carry my tablet into the coffee shop in a clutch! Beats a giant laptop and bulky bag - right?? Hahaha though, who am I kidding, I haven't ever gone to a coffee shop with my tablet just to chill and be cool sipping on a latte and browsing the net! I am not that cool.

But regardless of my cool factor, this pattern is very fun and well written and will be a go to for the upcoming gift giving season! (which also includes birthdays and 'just because you are awesome' days, and even the 'everyone should get fun mail and not just bills in the post' days.)

SEWFAB SEWING! The Greenstyle Laurel

This post contains affiliate links. When you purchase the Sew Fab Bundle through those links I earn a percentage of the sale. Thank you so much for supporting the Sew Fab Sale! We all appreciate your business! The Sew Fab Pattern Sale Spring 2014

I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited that I can FINALLY begin to show you all the secret SEWFAB sewing I've been doing this spring!

To start the week off I want to share with you the greenstyle laurel! The pattern has tunic, a bit above knee length (which is what I chose) and a bit longer length - I think it would end up to be knee or a touch below.

This dress has pockets and a fun cowl neck! I think with the elbow sleeves and cowl neck it is perfect for spring and those cooler summer days and into the fall!

I love the pleats on the front, and to be honest when I was cutting the pattern I nearly decided to do a full skirt because usually I am not a pleat girl, but I am SO happy I did the pleats!
There are two on each side and the pattern makes them easy to do. I also did pleats on the back piece, but it has the option for a flat back skirt.

This pattern is only ONE of the amazing outfits I have to show you this week! The bundle is really such an amazing deal! not very often you can get 19 patterns for only $30!

Can you guess which pattern I'll be showing off tomorrow???

For less than $30 you get a library of sewing resources that you can use over and over again.

If you’ve never sewn with a PDF pattern before, let me tell you how great it is! After downloading your pattern, you will print out the pattern itself, creating pattern tiles, if you will. Simply tape the tiles together to create the full pattern! At that point you can cut out the size that you need and pin the paper pattern directly to your fabric, or you can trace the pattern size that you need onto sewing paper or tracing paper and cut it out, saving the paper pattern for later when you need to sew another size. PDF patterns are so convenient because you can print them out as many times as you need!

Now for the part you've been waiting for… the patterns!

A collection of 19 PDF Patterns from 19 well-known and up and coming designers are instantly accessible to you by PDF download upon purchase of the Sew Fab Pattern Bundle.
