Now, onto the sewing! This pattern is really versatile! Sleeve length option so it is a great fall/winter sew for all you on the opposite side of the world heading into the winter! I choose the sleeveless option for my Norah's and I chose a different collar option for each girl.

(embroidery design from Urban Threads)

Both girls got matching(ish) tunic length Norah's. I love to have the coordinate, so I choose the same fabric, but different collars and Berry insisted her embroidery HAD to be in her favourite colour, yellow.

I seriously cannot wait to have the weather warm up enough for them to actually wear these outfits out and about! For now, indoor pics! haha.

ps. those shorts you see with the tunics are in the pattern bundle and will be up tomorrow on the blog!

The back is nice and easy with a button and tab. Do you love my nautical buttons? I found a whole bag of them for $1 at a fabric warehouse!

The top is lined on the top half making it perfect for embroidery and a tidy finish for the slit and sleeveless.

This dress/tunic is an aline style with just a wee bit of flare at the bottom making it perfectly sweet for the kiddo's!

The outfit gets Berry's stamp of approval! Cheeks was more interested in the mini marshmallow bribery hah.

Have you bought the bundle yet? What pattern is first on your to sew list?

Now are you ready for the showstopping back view???

EEP! How cute isn't that right?? High enough you don't see the top of her diaper even :) especially when the bow is tied in the back. The main fabric on this dress is a lovely chambray.

The bow does look cute tied to the front too, as you can see in Cheeks 1yr pictures below!
(Yes, she can still wear most of the clothing she did 6 months ago, lol... Still waiting on that growth spurt! )

And a, "Hey, that's my birthday crown!" pic. Berry is wearing the Sisboom Shannon dress.

SEWFAB SEWING! The Bowling shirt!

This post contains affiliate links. When you purchase the Sew Fab Bundle through those links I earn a percentage of the sale. Thank you so much for supporting the Sew Fab Sale! We all appreciate your business!

Another day another SewFab outfit! Use the hashtag #sewfab on social media so we can see what you are sewing from the bundle!

Today I am going to feature the pattern we have in the bundle - the Bowling Shirt! I used the bowling shirt pattern to make my little animal loving Berry a doctor coat!

I was able to cut and sew the bowling shirt in one evening after I put the kids to bed! I used snaps instead of buttonholes since this is more of a dress up shirt. The way the construction is done the placket goes on after you have done the buttonholes so if you mess up you will not have to bin your whole shirt - just re-do the placket! LOVE that!

The bundle has an amazing amount of value! 19 patterns plus one bonus!

(checking for a heartbeat)

This shirt is great as a button up for boys and girls as well.

We also have a bunch of amazing pins on our pinterest board for the Bowling shirt and it is worth a look for the inspiration! Bowling shirt on Pinterest and join us on facebook in our LAB group!

Today I want to share with you the foldover clutch I made with the LBG Studio's pattern

I really love the leather accents pieces this pattern has, I chose the side rounds as I didn't want to cover toooooo much of this pretty fabric (all the way from Uganda by the way!).  This pattern also has measures to make a small pouch. I choose the full size foldover clutch option.

The pattern features wonderfully written directions, a very clear supply list - including ideal zipper type and length.  I chose the shorter zipper length and the side tabs and the recommended brass zipper - it really does give it the look I wanted! Since the outside fabric is rather subtle in colour I did a pop of colour on the lining fabric!

I also love that there is an interlining so you get that extra bit of stability and also a bit of extra protection for whatever you decide to put inside the clutch. Which is GREAT when you finish sewing this pattern up and realize it is the PERFECT size for your tablet!!!!

Yes I can now carry my tablet into the coffee shop in a clutch! Beats a giant laptop and bulky bag - right?? Hahaha though, who am I kidding, I haven't ever gone to a coffee shop with my tablet just to chill and be cool sipping on a latte and browsing the net! I am not that cool.

But regardless of my cool factor, this pattern is very fun and well written and will be a go to for the upcoming gift giving season! (which also includes birthdays and 'just because you are awesome' days, and even the 'everyone should get fun mail and not just bills in the post' days.)
