Nituna Love

This post contains an affiliate link. When you purchase the SewFab bundle through that link we make a percentage of that sale. Thank you SOOOOO very much for supporting the SewFab sale!

Today I want to show you The gorgeous Nituna Jacket, pattern by Figgy's! This gorgeous pattern is one of the 26 patterns in the SewFab sale (link to buy the bundle is at the bottom of the post).

I lucked out and found this gorgeous wool plaid for 99C a meter at a local fabric warehouse basement sale! I only bought 2 yards though (so silly I know - but I had JUST started sewing at that time). Anyways this fabric has been sitting in my stash a few years now and I knew the moment I saw the sewfab bundle and the Nituna jacket I HAD to make it in this wool!

I lined the coat in a super cozy red plaid fleece I had on hand.

I made the coat a size 4/5 and a 6/7 in length. My girl only wears a 4T now so it is a bit big on her, but I wanted it to fit come spring as well.

The back of the coat has a gorgeous box pleat detail. and the hood is nice and roomy, I wish I had this coat in my size to be honest!

I added the black strips to the front pockets so they wouldn't get lost in the plaid. and I used oversized buttons I thankfully had 4 of on hand! (Those buttons were a thrift store find by the way!)

My girl insisted on taking her umbrella with her on the walk, in case it decided to rain. lol. Kids.

Now as promised, the SewFab details! I LOVE every pattern I've sewn from this bundle and cannot wait to show you more patterns throughout the sale that I have sewn! and at this price it is a steal of a deal!
